Carbon Fibre Straps
I was looking for more alternate strap options to look at after the huge success of the strap guides on TheWatchFace, and after browsing around the internet I found a very exciting, good looking and waterproof option, Carbon Fibre Straps.
I was immediately intrigued, and got in touch with the company StrappedForTime, who kindly sent out the straps featured in this guide.
I have to say that I am very impressed with this strap type, as it offers an amazing high quality alternative to leather, (which doesn’t look all too different), that is waterproof as well allowing maximum versatility.
For example, I put a carbon fibre strap with red stitches on my Seiko SKX009, and because the strap is waterproof, I can not only swim with it but also wear it with more formal attire.
The durability of these straps also really impressed me, they are of a very high quality and feel like they will last a while.
These straps seem to be quite popular for wear with dress watches, and I must agree because of the simple, ‘leather like’ look, and the checkered pattern reacts beautifully to the light giving it a very high quality look.
I also put a carbon fibre strap with yellow stitching on my vintage 70s Citizen (left), which fits the golden dial beautifully.
I was very impressed with these straps, and I will definetly keep wearing them on watches in my personal collection.
Carbon Fibre straps suit vintage 70s style pieces very well in my opinion, but that doesn’t go without saying that it suits pretty much any type of watch!
A good tip is to match the stitching of the strap, (if you go for one with coloured stitching), to the dial of the watch or a colour found elsewhere on it, because small details like that can really compliment your watch!

I was very impressed by the quality of the straps, and I am sure you will be too.
